President's Report
Joyce Hundhausen 630.464.0209 joyce@svs.com
Hi Ladies!
October
was filled with great things accomplished by this great club (of course). The Health Fair,
Junior Week, The Fall Auction, Harvest House and the Morton Arboretum trip...wow what a
month. I want to thank everyone for all the hard work they put into this months
events on behalf of the club... Our meeting is as usual at Glendale Lakes Golf Club on
November 2nd. We have just a few things to go over at this time, including installation of
new members, nominations for new officers for next year, the vendor fair details, our
holiday party and a few more. See you at the meeting!
Have a Great Day!

Vice President's Report
Laura Burke 630.653.5664 Lburke3942@aol.com
A huge thank you to Jeanette Wells,
Joyce Hundhausen, Becki Tybor and Allana Zeiss for attending the October village
meeting where our Mayor, Linda Jackson Proclaimed Oct. 15 -23 "Glendale Heights Jr.
Woman's Club" week! What an honor it was for this club to have been acknowledged at
that time (the cable coverage wasn't too bad for us either!)
Inside this newsletter are proposed Bylaw amendments for
you to read. We will be voting on these at the November meeting so reading them ahead of
time will help this procedure run smooth. Thank you to Jeanette Wells for all of her help
with this proposal.
As we all begin our hectic holiday happenings, please
remember to give to those less fortunate in any way you can. Thank you to Joanna Seebeck
for handling the winter clothing drive.
See you soon,
Laura
Art Department

Thanks to everyone that helped with the crafts and
centerpieces for the auction. It was very frustrating for me with a broken arm this year
and it couldn't have been done without you! There will be a planning meeting next month,
I'll have more details at our November general.

Home Consultants Open House

Hello Ladies:
You are all invited to come out and visit our committee's event at the Sports Hub on Wed.
Nov. 9th, from 6:00 - 9:00pm.
Please bring your friends.
Barb and Virginia E. will greet you at the greeting table. Stop by the Partylite table to
visit with me and of course to see my candle display and get your Christmas catalogs. I
will be taking orders all through the following week... You can look at the catalog in the
comfort of your home and call me with your order. Your order will be delivered before
Thanksgiving.
Joanna S. will end the evening with me. If you have time we could use another member to
close the greeting table with Joanna.
Jeanette W. son Gregory and friend Cavin will help during the event. It's always good to
have strong hands near by. I think it's great that family and club member's friends want
to give their time. We thank you guys.
We charged a table fee this year of $20.00. From that money we will have road signs made
from Sign-a-Rama. Tell your friends who are not familiar with our area to look for signs.
It is impossible to list the vendors on the signs. Most people don't know what home
consultants are. So, our road signs will read:
Gifts for the Holidays
OPEN HOUSE
Home Décor, Apparel,
Health & Beauty & More
SPORTS HUB
NOV 9, 6 - 9 PM
Sponsored By:
GLENDALE HEIGHTS JR. WOMAN'S CLUB
The date can be changed, so next year we can reuse the signs. I believe this works well
for everyone.
WE want the public to know what is inside the hub from the road sign.
The following Vendors are:
Ann Warren's Crafts, Christian's Jewelry, Feelin Good, Grandmaster Han's Martial Arts
(they teach at the Sports Hub), IL. State Treasurer's office, Longaberger, Mary Kay,
Pampered Chef, Partylite, Premier Designs High Fashion Jewelry, Tastefully Simple, Usborne
Books, Weekenders, Whimsical Windows.
We might have more. I have an e-mail from a lady who sells organization things for the
home. She is the first IL. Consultant for this company. It just started.
I look forward to seeing all of you club ladies visiting our open house.
More details to come at our Nov. general.
Sincerely,
Mary Wolski Chairwomen
