CONVENTION Hello Ladies: Convention is just around the corner and I hope everyone has a great time. At board everyone asked me about the convention dress code. If you are going to one of the banquets on Wednesday or Thursday night, they are pretty fancy, most people really dress up and the head table is usually in long dresses. If you are scheduled for one of the lunches, Thursday, Friday or Saturday, it is usually more casual, dress pants and a top, dress capris, skirt or dress, however NO JEANS. If you are scheduled to come Friday night for the Pizza Party and Junior Awards Night, the dress is casual, most of the ladies will be wearing Jeans and probably a club T-shirt, sweatshirt or denim. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me. If you are not sure what meal functions you signed up for, I will have the info at the May General Meeting so you can check. I was happy to hear that we have 11 ladies from our club coming, we should have an awesome time. Please let me know if you have any
questions. Blood Drive Thanks so much to everyone who helped out with the blood drive...those who gave blood (or tried to give), those who sent friends and family to donate; those who helped and those who baked: Jeanette Wells, Peggy Wells, Virginia Engel, Virginia Proffitt, Barb Kuminowski, Sharon Fonte, Mary Wolski, Laura Burke, Joyce Hundhausen, Ann Warren, Sue Dees, Joanna Seebeck & Cheryl Channic (hope I didn't forget anyone). It ended up to be very successful with more walk-ins than scheduled appointments! We donated 42 usable units of blood! Looks like our community was very receptive to this drive. We should definitely consider doing it again. Also many thanks go out to Chief Don Markowski & Glenside Fire District for partnering with us on this event and for the use of their facility. Judy Huyvaert, 894-8615, jhuyvaert1@hotmail.com Ways and Means MEMBER BALLOT Please vote for two! The two with the most votes will receive the proceeds from the 2005 Fall Auction Extravaganza.
